Scattering of electrons from acetaldehyde and acetone
نویسنده
چکیده
Absolute total cross sections (TCSs) for electron scattering from acetaldehyde [(CH3)CHO] and acetone [(CH3)2CO] molecules have been measured at electron-impact energy extending from 0.7 to 400 eV, using a linear electron-transmission technique. The shape of obtained TCS energy dependences appears typical for targets of high electric dipole moment; both TCSs decrease with the energy increase; only between 4 and 12 eV is a weak enhancement in TCSs is clearly perceptible. The experimental TCSs for (CH3)CHO and for (CH3)2CO are also compared with those for their cyclic isomeric counterparts: c-(CH2)2O and c-(CH2)3O, respectively. Kinetic Study of the Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Acetaldehyde at Ni/Al Layered Double Hydroxide Modified sol-gel derived carbon ceramic electrode
In this research, we reported a novel modified carbon ceramic electrode (CCE) using Ni/Al Layered double hydroxide as modifier was fabricated by sol-gel technique. The Ni/Al Layered double hydroxide modified sol gel derived carbon ceramic (Ni/Al LDH-SGD-CC) electrode was used for electrocatalytic oxidation of acetaldehyde. The oxidation of acetaldehyde happens at the potential where Ni (III) sp...
متن کاملAir-sea fluxes of methanol, acetone, acetaldehyde, isoprene and DMS from a Norwegian fjord following a phytoplankton bloom in a mesocosm experiment
The ocean’s influence on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere is poorly understood. This work characterises the oceanic emission and/or uptake of methanol, acetone, acetaldehyde, isoprene and dimethyl sulphide (DMS) as a function of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and a suite of biological parameters. The measurements were taken following a phytoplankton bloom, in May/J...
متن کاملSources and sinks of acetone, methanol, and acetaldehyde in North Atlantic marine air
Measurements of acetone, methanol, acetaldehyde and a range of non-methane hydrocarbons have been made in North Atlantic marine air at the Mace Head observatory. Under maritime conditions the combination of OVOCs (acetone, methanol and acetaldehyde) contributed up to 85% of the total mass of measured non methane organics in air and up to 80% of the OH radical organic sink, when compared with th...
متن کاملDrosophila melanogaster alcohol dehydrogenase: product-inhibition studies.
The Drosophila melanogaster alleloenzymes AdhS and AdhF have been studied with respect to product inhibition by using the two substrate couples propan-2-ol/acetone and ethanol/acetaldehyde together with the coenzyme couple NAD+/NADH. With both substrate couples the reaction was consistent with an ordered Bi Bi mechanism. The substrates added to the enzyme in a compulsory order, with coenzyme as...
